Dear Family and Friends:
It has been a good week! Penny McKinley who has been a patient for several weeks at Baptist hospital did get to go home this week. This is really big praise as Penny has been very sick with her COPD. We continue to pray for you Ms. Penny!
Aaron Williams had his ACL repair done two weeks ago has been progressing well. As of yesterday, he found room at a friend’s first floor apartment near UWF college. Mom & Dad who have been switching off to take care of Aaron here at the Vineyard. Aaron cannot put weight on the leg for another 4 weeks. With crutches in hand, he is learning to hobble and hop to all of his classes. Parents were able to return to Marianna, FL. Just don’t fall Mr. Aaron!
Christina Covington has really done an improvement. She came off the ventilator, and was moved to a regular room two days ago. She is very weak according to her dad, Ron and step-mom, Lyn. Mom, Pam Carter is staying with her at the hospital. According to dad, she is going to be in the hospital for a few more weeks. Ms. Christina has come a very long way.
Austin Mulligan is continuing to make slow improvements. His skin grafts are healing slowly. He is, according to mom, Tedie, opening his eyes, and making noises when he is responding to questions from mom and his siblings! December 9, 2017, the family was told he was very critical. The doctors did not give him very much hope. The family is now waiting on his appeal from the insurance company for Austin to go to Shepherd’s neurological division for brain injury patients. Austin may surprise us all! God has a plan.
Betty Blocker continues to make slow progress in the ICU at Select Hospital. She is breathing a lot easier with the tracheostomy. She continues to require kidney dialysis every few days too. Husband, William, continues to stay with one of our church families, Ken. Thanks again, so much Ken!
Blessings to all.
Love, Always in His Name!
