Dear Family and Friends:
We welcomed in the family of Robert French. Robert, just 52 years young was traveling with his family after their vacation from Disney World when he had a stroke with a brain bleed. His parents, Cheryl and Tom Mason are staying with us. They are from Covington Louisiana. Robert is at Sacred Heart hospital.
Tom Gorman remains at Sacred Heart hospital also recovering from his stroke early July. Per his wife, Robin, he sadly has not made much progress towards physical recovery or speech. She continues to try and get him closer to their Miramar Beach home.
Chris Hubbard, just 45 years young, continues to make good progress per his mom, Kathleen. He is walking with assistance and eating soft food! He is also in speech therapy! Considering two months ago he was near death with his stage 4 COPD, he is truly a miracle! He and his family is from Hattiesburg, MS.
Derrick Belcher remains on kidney dialysis at Select Specialty hospital per mom, Tez Belcher who comes here for a break, do laundry, or just to grab a quick meal. Derrick remains on oxygen via his tracheotomy. He is recovering from a cardiac arrest of unknown etiology.
Rood Medina of Navarre, FL was released to home Tuesday. His parents, Jean and Marie had been staying with us. They are returning to Delray, Florida. Rood is to start chemotherapy in January for his colon cancer. The blockage he had developed from the cancer was able to be cleared without further surgery per his mother Marie. Yeah!
We want to keep all of those injured and especially the fatalities that occurred here in Pensacola at Naval Air Station base. Our hearts and prayers go out to all of their families and loved ones. Our deepest condolences to those who lost loved ones.
We want to invite all who can to our first Holiday Open House at the new Martha’s Vineyard next Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 12 to 3 pm. We and our board of directors are excited to show off this beautiful 1905 Victorian home. Please join us if you can!
Finally, we want to thank all who participated in “Giving Tuesday”, December 3, 2019. We won’t know the total dollars for about a month as it takes time for Facebook to tally all the donations. But, we were so excited to be able to participate!
