Dear Family and Friends:
Christy Taylor has been doing very well per her mom, Sherry who has been staying with us. Christy is still recovering from a stroke now 3 weeks ago. Christy has been off the ventilator. Speech therapy is trying to encourage her to speak with the “talking valve” they place over her tracheotomy. Christy is just 39 years young. She and her family are from Panama City, Florida.
Michelle Fawks has also had a good week. She woke up from her coma-like state this past Wednesday! She cannot speak yet after having a brain aneurysm per her husband, David. Sons Kaleb and Ryan have been staying with us also. David is hoping she is stable soon to be transferred to a rehabilitation center closer to their Birmingham, Alabama home.
Cari Hill required a second chest tube on the right side of her chest early Wednesday morning per mom, Cari. Both of Cari’s parent are from Yankee Town, Florida. Cari as you recall was a “hit and run” accident last Saturday night. She is also healing from a broken left hip and left collar bone. Per her parents, she will recognize them one minute, then another will ask them “Who are you?”
We also received a call from Carol Higbee of Chipley, Florida. Richard Higbee, her husband, had a brain aneurysm stroke and was transferred to Select hospital for further rehabilitation. I explained that I was full but I would be glad for her to come over and grab a bite to eat and allow her to do her laundry. She is able to stay with her husband in his patient room. She is asking for prayers for her husband.
Blessings to all of you, Love Always in His Name!
