Dear Family and Friends:
Michael Freeman started his chemotherapy October 26, 2018 for throat cancer. His wife, Barbara shared with me how concerned they both were about the diagnosis and how would Michael take to both chemotherapy and radiation to get ahead of this cancer. They had been staying with Ken H. during the this time. Ken shared with me that Michael finished his last treatment this past Tuesday. He has responded very well to all of his treatments! Barbara could not say enough kind words about Ken and his hospitality. This was a Christmas present this family will never forget!
We extend our condolences to the family of Sylvia Taylor who passed away from brain cancer. Even though her daughter Sharon could not be here from Toronto, Canada, we continued to visit with with Sylvia and pray with her.
We also extend our condolences to the family of Beth King. Per her daughters, Carla and Barbara, Ms. Beth also had brain cancer. She passed peacefully December 17, 2018.
Sheila Lee, at Select hospital is continuing to amaze her doctors and nursing staff. She is feeding herself, is totally aware of her surroundings, and by all accounts, gaining strength every day! This young lady just a few weeks ago was so close to Heaven’s gates. Yet, God was certainly not done with her. Carolyn, Sheila’s mother continues to stay with us.
We welcomed in today two families. Our first, the parents and friend of Sarah Hays. Ms. Sarah had become sick while attending Pensacola Christian College. She is currently at West Florida hospital. Per her parents, John and Mary, Sarah has an possible infection in her brain stem. Sarah’s boyfriend, Bradley is also very concerned about her. This family is from Arkansas.
Our second family came in just a couple of hours after the Hays. Canaan Davis came down from Kansas according to his mother, Geri to work with an construction company rebuilding in Panama City, FL. Canaan was involved in a pedestrian verses truck accident. He sustained internal injuries per mom too. He had another surgery today. We are hosting his parents, and aunt and uncle here at the Vineyard.
Dennis and I want to wish all of you a blessed Merry Christmas!
Love, Always in His Name!
