Dear Family and Friends:
Hale, our house guest, shared with us that his wife Polly is making slow progress on ECMO, (a heart-lung assist device). Per Hale, she is still on a ventilator, but can “mouth” words to her husband and family. The family continues to ask for your prayers.
Update from Jane and Jim Johnston whose son Jared was transferred to Miami for extended care. Jane called me last night to share with us and all our prayer partners that Jared was transferred home to Graceville, Florida to be placed in hospice care. The Johnston family was with us for 4 months. The family is asking for continued prayers as they spend this special time with Jared.
Our volunteers have been busy clearing up debris in the flower beds this week. We are sharing all those delicious cookies from Crumbl Cookies with our house guests, volunteers and, and have some to share with area hospital ER, ICU, CCU, and hospice staff. A “thank you” for all of their hard work.
We have scheduled Troendle Flooring to add the final coat of varnish on the living room and Magnolia room floors. Patrick, our carpenter, finished the flagpole. He also hung another beautiful piece of stained glass in one of our main house bedrooms. Candy, our painter has finished painting the handrails on the back porch steps.
A special thank you to First Baptist Church’s Bunco club for donating new standard and king size pillows to the Vineyard Family House. At some point and time, even pillows wear out!
