Prayer Updates and New House Guests here at The Vineyard Family House

Marty TackettNews

Dear Family and Friends:
We want to welcome in the parents of Nathan B.  Mark and Shelly came with their family on vacation 4 weeks ago.  Per dad, they initially thought his allergies were “acting up”.  But it was Covid.  Nathan is at Baptist Hospital, CCU, on a ventilator and ECMO (Heart-lung assist device).  He is very sick.  Nathan is just 27 years old. He is their oldest of 6 children.  Mark is a pastor up in Tennessee. His parents are sharing a picture of Nathan so you put a face to your prayers today.
Jennifer Jones “graduated” from West Florida Rehabilitation center after being here a total of 32 days following her stroke.  Her husband Rus, and his mother-in-law plus her mom, kept trading out so that Jenn had someone with her 24/7.  Rus wanted me to tell everyone how grateful he is for all those prayers.  He shared that Jenn is walking, can use both arms and hands, but still having some difficulty with speech.  She will continue out-patient therapy from their home in Jackson Alabama.
Roy Scout also was able to go home after 4 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation for esophageal cancer.  He was telling me that the doctors will have him repeat his MRI in about 6 weeks.  He and Ann are praying the results are good, and he will not require any further surgeries.
Leslie P.  has been greatly impressed with her husband’s progress at Select Specialty hospital.  He is now breathing on his own.  He is battling an infection per Leslie.  As you recall, Blake has been a paraplegic for 20 years, sustained an infection, and had lost the abilities to move his upper extremities.
As always, we ask that you keep all our families in your prayers.  They each have challenges to overcome.  Yet, with God, prayers, and encouragement, they will be able to persevere. YOUR prayers are so important.
Our volunteers continue to work on the main house with organization of supplies, painting of furniture, and yard maintenance. Mr. Pat and Candy are working on bedroom 4 and the bathroom.  Tropical Storm Claudette was just a lot of wind and rain.  Picked up a lot of limbs.  God is good!
Blessings to all of you, Love Always in His Name!
