Dear Family and Friends: February 26, 2022
We want to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Sandra Baker. Per Tom, her husband, Sandra passed quietly and peacefully into Heaven February 15, 2022. Her sisters and daughter were able to make it here to be with her. Tom shared with us that her lung function had decreased to 35% coupled with congestive heart failure. We were honored to have been able to take care of this sweet family.
Sharon S., our out-patient chemotherapy patient is doing well with her treatments per Merrill, her husband. Merrill is retired Air Force. We are always honored to house our military! These two are a sweet couple. Please continue to pray for her as she completes her therapy.
We welcome in Rob F. from Wausau Wisconsin this next week. His sweet wife fell and unfortunately fractured a lumbar vertebrae in her mid-back. She has had surgery and is now at West Florida Rehabilitation center. These “snow birds” were not planning on this extended Florida “vacation”. But, we are glad they found us! Rob asks for prayer for his bride of many years.
We also welcome in Holly B. Her husband, Douglas, is recuperating from being on a ventilator. He was transferred to Select Specialty Hospital for rehabilitation. They are from Frisco City, Alabama. She also, asks for prayer for her husband who also suffers from COPD.
I received a call this week from Chris Pell. If you recall, he is the gentleman who had sustained a serious stroke last April, 2021. He and his wife, Paige and family stopped by for a visit here at the Vineyard. Last year, his church, Brashers Chapel made a 12-month pledge to help us in honor of Chris. He was calling to let us know the pastor and deacons of Brashers Chapel voted again to extend that pledge for another year! Wow! What a blessing for us. Thank you Brashers Chapel and the Pell Family! Paige asks that you please keep Chris in your prayers as he continues to improve on his road to recovery.
For those who could not make the Open House at Christmas, just a peek of what we are doing to all our bedrooms upstairs. Every bedroom and bathroom have all cracks repaired. Ceilings are being re-painted, as well as walls to this Harbor Sage color. This is Bedroom #1. We love our carpenter, painters, and volunteers! They ALL do beautiful work!!
Blessings to all of you, Love Always in His Name!
