Update on our House Guest, Bob Griffin

Marty TackettNews

Dear Family & Friends:
As we were leaving church tonight, Dennis felt the need to go by Baptist Hospital to check on the Griffin family.  Bob Griffin, 63 years old had been very sick, in the SICU, at Baptist hospital since last week for a lung infection, Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome, kidney failure, and from what Leah, his daughter had told us, multi-organ failure also.  Leah and her brother both came in from Austin, TX to be with their step-mom, Vicki during this time.
The nurses explained that Bob had fought a very good fight, but the over whelming factors just won out. Mr. Griffin passed just about the time we were actually in church lifting him and his family up in prayer.  I called Leah to express our condolences.  Having lived in Pensacola ten years ago, she felt like she had a great “family” connection here, and so appreciated the visits, calls, and prayers for her dad and family.  She said she is going to miss her “best friend” very much.
Please be in prayer as this family works toward that healing that only Christ can bring. Peace and blessings.
Love, Always in His Name!
